Jay Malkin

Jay Malkin attended Vanderbilt University and earned a B.S. in Chemistry with Honors in 1980. After working as a research chemist, he attended law school at Creighton University and obtained his J.D. degree in 1983. Thereafter, he began his career as an intellectual property attorney and has continuously worked in this field since that time.

During his nearly 30-year career, he has represented many clients in patent and trademark matters. His work in this field has ranged from complex nuclear and chemical technology to plant variety protection. He has also provided trademark services for a wide variety of different companies on both a national and international basis.

Mr. Malkin is currently licensed to practice law in Colorado and Oregon. In addition, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also an expert in antique electronic technology and is actively involved in the collection and restoration of antique electronic equipment dating back to the 1920s – 1950s.
